Kitchen Cabinets & Backsplash

New kitchen cabinets and backsplash.

Remove and replace all upper and lower kitchen cabinets. Install new tile backsplash from counter to upper cabinets. Countertops to remain (quartz, good condition). Appliances will be disconnected/reconnected by contractor.

Oak cathedral/arched raised-panel cabinets with crown molding throughout. Approximately 4-5 upper cabinet boxes on stove wall + 1 corner cabinet above refrigerator. 4-5 base cabinet boxes including 4-drawer bank; peninsula base cabinets house sink and dishwasher. Diagonal diamond-pattern blue/gray tile backsplash with decorative listello border strip — primarily on stove wall. Dark speckled polished granite countertops throughout (staying). Stainless gas range, OTR microwave, black French-door refrigerator, stainless dishwasher and sink all staying. Vaulted ceiling — uppers do NOT go to ceiling, ~3-4ft of open wall space above cabinets. Walk-in pantry under stairs has basic open shelving (not in cabinet scope). Hardwood flooring in kitchen.

Kitchen approx 18ft × 14ft open to dining

Homeowner purchasing cabinets through supplier; contractor to pick up and install. Homeowner supplies backsplash tile. Contractor supplies labor and all installation materials.

Vaulted ceiling is a key consideration — new upper cabinet height/sizing decisions needed. Countertops (granite) are staying; contractor must protect during demo and install. All appliances staying — contractor disconnects/reconnects. Open floor plan means kitchen is exposed to living room during work. Pantry shelving is NOT in scope unless homeowner adds it. Backsplash scope TBD — confirm if new backsplash extends beyond stove wall to peninsula back-wall and around sink.
