Great Room Faux Beams

Add faux beams to the great room ceiling. Definitely want one full ridge beam spanning the entire ceiling peak. Undecided on whether to add spaced rib beams running from the ridge down to the walls.

Install decorative faux wood beam(s) on great room vaulted ceiling. Primary beam: one full ridge beam spanning the entire peak. Secondary beams: bid both with and without 4–6 rib beams running perpendicular to ridge. Beams to be stained to complement existing hardwood floors.

Vaulted ceiling, drywall finish, no existing beams. Ceiling peak approximately 18ft. Hardwood floors below — protection required during install.

Homeowner will select beam product (likely faux wood, e.g. Volterra or similar). Contractor supplies blocking, hardware, and labor.
